CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Russian government reports «Russian newspaper», approved the procedure for issuing housing certificates for orphans over 23 years of age. The resolution was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
According to the document, in 2024, orphans who have reached the age of 23 will begin to receive certificates for the purchase of comfortable housing in any region or for full repayment of a mortgage loan. An application for a certificate can be submitted either in person by contacting the MFC, or remotely, in your personal account on the government services portal.
To protect orphans from fraudsters, certificate funds will be sent directly to the accounts of apartment sellers or credit institutions when it comes to repaying a mortgage.
At the beginning of 2023, according to the Commissioner for Children’s Rights under the President of Russia, Maria Lvova-Belova, there were more than 288 thousand orphans and children left without parental care on the waiting list for housing. At the beginning of 2022, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin estimated the costs required to provide orphans with housing at 300 billion rubles.
