Official: the volume of lending to Crimean businesses increased by 35% over the year

CrimeaPRESS reports:

For 9 months of 2023, organizations and entrepreneurs of the Republic of Crimea received 143.5 billion rubles in bank loans. This is 35% more than in the same period last year. The volume of funds issued to small and medium-sized businesses increased by more than 48%, and to large borrowers by 24.6%.

In general, the loan portfolio of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs in the region increased by 35.6% over the year and as of October 1, 2023 amounted to 151.6 billion rubles. Its growth rate exceeds that of the country (+32.2%) and the Southern Federal District (+21.2%).

Trade enterprises were the most active in lending, as in the previous year. At the beginning of the fourth quarter of this year, their share in the structure of the corporate portfolio was about 23%. A significant increase in lending activity was observed in the manufacturing industry. Over the year, the portfolio of loans issued to enterprises in this industry increased almost 3 times. This continues to be facilitated by preferential government programs, as well as the increased need of business for working capital amid the recovery of economic activity.– the press service of the head of the Branch for the Republic of Crimea of the Southern Main Directorate of the Bank of Russia quotes Igor Tsvetkov.

The share of loans to small and medium-sized businesses in the region’s total corporate portfolio is higher than the Russian average — 45.6% versus 18.6%. Over the year, their liabilities to banks increased 1.8 times and at the beginning of October exceeded 69 billion rubles. At the same time, the portfolio of loans to large businesses over the same period increased by 12.2%, to 82.6 billion rubles.
