Upon reaching 80 years of age, a pensioner is entitled to pay a fixed part of the insurance pension in double amount. The pension, taking into account the increase, is received the next month after the birthday. The recalculation is carried out in a proactive mode, that is, there is no need to submit an application to the Branch of the Social Fund of Russia.
The amount of the increase in 2023 is 7,567 rubles, and next year, due to indexation, the additional payment to the pension will be 8,134.88 rubles.
This supplement is established only for recipients of an old-age insurance pension. Such an increase is not provided for by law for a social old-age pension or a disability pension. Recipients of survivors’ pensions are also not eligible for this increase. In addition, upon reaching 80 years of age, the fixed payment does not double for pensioners who are disabled people of group I, because they already receive a double fixed payment,” noted the department’s press service.
Let us remind you that, regardless of the type of pension received, a citizen over 80 years of age can be assigned a caregiver. But provided that the caring person himself is not a recipient of any type of pension, is not officially employed and does not receive benefits from the Employment Center as an unemployed person.
A payment to the caregiver in the amount of 1,200 rubles is made monthly and is transferred to the pensioner along with his pension. Payment for services to the person providing care is optionally made by the pensioner who is being cared for.
To apply for care compensation, you can submit an application through the State Services portal, at the client service of the SFR or MFC.
