Officially: during the May holidays, the Republic of Crimea was visited by more than 350 thousand tourists

The head of the Republic of Crimea in his Telegram channel summed up the results of the May holidays in the sanatorium-resort sphere. According to Sergey Aksyonov, from April 27 to May 11, Crimea visited 357.7 thousand tourists, which is 34 % more than in the same period last year, and one and a half times more than in 2023.

Most of the guests arrived in the republic on the Crimean bridge on cars and buses — 73 %, another 20 % — by rail and 7 % — along the land route through historical regions. “Vacationers took about 400 collective accommodation facilities, the average load exceeded 55 %. Large resort complexes with developed infrastructure were loaded up to 100 %. Most tourists — over 180 thousand people — rested in Big Yalta— shared the head of Crimea.

So, according to the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, during the May holidays, Crimea has become the most popular area for domestic tourism.

At the same time, Sergei Aksyonov emphasized that the demand for summer vacations increased.

The reservation depth reaches 150 days, the average reservation level was 47–49 %. According to experts, the number of reservations for the summer has grown by 44 % over the past two weeks. Tourists choose hotels suitable for family holidays, as well as sanatoriums with a wide range of therapeutic programs— noted the head of the republic.

To stimulate demand, Crimean hoteliers, together with the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea, developed various promotions and special offers for Crimeans and guests of the peninsula. In many hotels and sanatoriums, the cost of rest remains at the level of last year.

In addition, the information campaign was launched «Blave in the Crimea!». More than 130 advertising planes are involved in Moscow, in Crimea and other regions, on the M-4 Don highway. The audience of publications in the regional and federal media, according to the report of the media information and analytical system, amounted to a total of more than 50 million people.

Sergei Aksyonov added that today a large -scale tourist rally starts for 70 tour operators and travel agents from the regions of Russia and the Republic of Belarus. The relevant ministry will conduct training in several areas for them: “In the Crimea for history”, “Rest in the Crimea”, “Crimea with taste”, “To the Crimea for health”. It is also planned to hold the “Contact Exchange” with the Crimean tourist business to establish long -term partnerships.
