Officially: how pension indexation will take place in 2024-2025
CrimeaPRESS reports:
All categories of non-working pensioners will be able to count on increased pensions from the beginning of next year, and in 2025 pensions will be indexed twice — in February and April. This was reported by «Gazeta.Ru» Member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs Svetlana Bessarab. According to her, all previously planned indexations will be carried out on time.
According to the draft budget of the Social Fund, in 2024 pensions for non-working pensioners will be indexed by 7.5% — according to the inflation rate included in the macro forecast of the Ministry of Economy. At the same time, insurance pensions for non-working pensioners will be indexed from January 1, social pensions — from April 1, 2024 — The press service of the Russian Ministry of Labor told the publication.
As Bessarab noted, if inflation exceeds the forecast level, pensions may be indexed in a larger amount. According to her, there is already an example when inflation exceeded the forecast and pensions were increased in a larger amount than planned. The exact level of pension indexation for the next year will be determined in October, the deputy said.
We are already working on this. In general, by 2023, the pensions of military pensioners will increase by 10.5%. In 2024, the pension will be increased from January 1. And from 2025, it is planned to increase pensions for non-working pensioners twice a year — from February 1 and April 1. From February 1 — according to the level of real inflation, from April 1 — according to the level of income“, she clarified.
Earlier, Governor of the Kaliningrad Region Anton Alikhanov proposed at a meeting of the Presidium of the State Council of the Russian Federation on September 21 to index pensions for working pensioners. Such indexing stopped in 2016. Now the Government is thinking about the issue of her return. The press service of the government of the Kaliningrad region told Parliamentskaya Gazeta that indexing pensions for working pensioners could help with the shortage of personnel in the country.
