Officially: in 2023, 5.2 million tourists vacationed in the Republic of Crimea

The head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, said that, despite logistical restrictions, the region’s tourism industry is coping with all the difficulties.
He clarified that according to the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea, as of January 1, the number of vacationers in 2023 amounted to 5.2 million tourists, which is 20% lower than the 2022 level.
Of these, 58% arrived via the Crimean Bridge by car and bus, 28% by train, 14% by land route through new territories of the Russian Federationsaid the Head of the Republic.
Sergei Aksyonov also informed that about 180 thousand guests plan to relax in Crimea during the January holidays.
