Officially: information resources of the Republic of Crimea are functioning normally

The information resources of the Republic of Crimea are functioning normally. All necessary measures have been taken to counter computer threats. This was announced by the Minister of Internal Policy, Information and Communications of the Republic of Crimea Mikhail Afanasyev, commenting on a computer attack on the information and telecommunications infrastructure of the region.

Yesterday, 24 February, at 20: a massive computer attack (DDOS-attack) on the information and telecommunications infrastructure of the Republic of Crimea. The main blow was dealt to the Portal of the Government of the Republic of Crimea with an abnormal number of requests (ip-addresses from the USA, India, North and South America). The main goal is to disable the Portal of the Government of the Republic of Crimea and other significant information resources , — commented the head of the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Crimea.
