Officially: notarial certification of transactions associated with the delivery of housing to relatives will cost half

Krympress reports:

Close relatives, when drawing up a gift agreement, will be able to get a 50% discount on notarial services. Such a law was approved by the Federation Council.

Recall that since the beginning of 2025, real estate deeds should be issued through a notary. According to amendments, if housing is transferred as a gift to a close relative or family member, it will be possible to assure the agreement with a notary with a 50%discount. In Art. 333.36 and Art. 333.38 of the Tax Code will be made appropriate changes. In addition, the list of benefits will be expanded when paying state duty under a housing gift agreement.

According to the current legislation, close relatives include spouses, children, parents, brothers, sisters, grandfathers, grandmother and grandchildren.

The new rules will allow pensioners who transfer real estate as a gift to their children or grandchildren, the explanatory note to the bill says. Often such citizens experience financial difficulties.

Amendments to the Civil Code, according to which a notarial certificate of deed of housing gifts became mandatory, were adopted in December 2024. Even close relatives cannot transfer real estate as a gift without the participation of notaries. This law is necessary to protect citizens from scammers.
