Officially: shared construction is developing in Sevastopol

By data On April 1, 2025, banks transferred 18.6 billion rubles to developers who completed the construction of facilities in the region. Sevastopol residents received keys to 3834 apartments in rented houses. This is 1569 apartments more than a year earlier. At the beginning of April in Sevastopol in banks, 1,200 escrow accounts were opened to purchase housing. They placed 6.6 billion rubles.

The escrow mechanism guarantees protection of interests of equity holders and the safety of their funds. Mandatory banking support of the transaction eliminates the risks of customers to lose money without receiving housing. If the developer does not finish the object, the buyer will be able to return his funds in full. In addition, money on escrow accounts is protected by the state deposit insurance system in the amount of not more than 10 million rubles— notes the deputy manager of the department for Sevastopol of the Southern GU Bank of Russia Yuri Solomennik.

Since March 1, 2025, the project financing mechanism applies to individual construction: for the construction of private houses under contract agreements, you can now attract money through the escrow account.
