Older Crimeans can join financial literacy lessons

Residents of the Republic of Crimea of the older generation can connect to free distance lessons on financial literacy of the Bank of Russia, which started today for citizens throughout the country. Students will learn how to pay for housing and communal services remotely, make transfers in a banking application and learn about other possibilities of online services. The training program consists of 174 new and traditional webinars. The class schedule and connection instructions can be found at website project. Among the most popular topics is the safe use of non-cash payments.
Representatives of the older generation often need tips when making payments through mobile banking applications, when choosing and applying for a loan or deposit,” explains Igor Tsvetkov, Head of the Bank of Russia Branch for the Republic of Crimea. – The regulator’s webinars are adapted for older people; they will help you develop useful skills and feel more confident in various financial-related situations.
It will be possible to join the classes either as a group, for example, at social service centers for citizens, or individually – using a home computer, smartphone or tablet. The autumn session will last until December 15.
Online classes on financial literacy for the older generation have been conducted in all regions of Russia since 2020. In Crimea, all social service centers joined the spring session of lessons, and the webinars received more than 9 thousand views.
