Oleg Tabakov's Theatre presented the play «Sailor's Silence» in Sevastopol

In Sevastopol, at the VIII International Opera and Ballet Festival «Khersones», the Oleg Tabakov Theatre is performing the play «Sailor’s Silence». The theatre’s tour is taking place in our city for the third time.

This year the performances are charity ones — for participants of the special military operation, their family members, volunteers, high school students and other social categories. Initially it was planned that the performance would be on the stage of the Fishermen’s Palace of Culture for two days — August 8 and 9 — but by agreement of Mikhail Razvozhaev and the artistic director of the theater Vladimir Mashkov, a third performance will take place — August 10.

The third stage of the opera and ballet festival «Khersones» has begun. It is a great joy that our friends Vladimir Lvovich Mashkov and the wonderful troupe of the Oleg Tabakov Theater are coming to Sevastopol for the third year already. This year Vladimir Lvovich decided to make the performances charitable and invite those who are on the front lines, risking their lives, to «Matrosskaya Tishina». Many Sevastopol residents saw this performance the year before last, and it did not leave anyone indifferent — because the play is relevant at all times. It is about the most important thing: that we need to protect the Motherland, protect loved ones, preserve love and loyalty — no matter what it costs. It is very important for us today to be together and remember that we will overcome even the most difficult times. And we will support with all our might the participants of the special military operation — everyone who is forging our victory at the front today. The main role in the play is played by Vladimir Mashkov. After the play, he thanked the participants of the special military operation.
