Oleg Tabakova Theater School for the first time listed in Sevastopol

On April 12 and 13, the Moscow Theater School Oleg Tabakova listened to applicants in Sevastopol. The admission commission for the first time held a regional tour on the peninsula, in the hero city. Over two days of listening, they took place in the Sevastopol Children’s School of Arts, the theatrical direction of which is overseas the theater school of Oleg Tabakov for two years.

For our team of theater Oleg Tabakov and our theater school — Sevastopol is already a native place, our creative acting direction works in the Sevastopol Children’s School of Arts. From early childhood, we are trying to prepare children who want to choose this difficult activity in which almost zero guarantee of success, if you do not work, do not know the world. And it’s difficult to enter our school,-quoted the press service of the Government of Sevastopol Vladimir Mashkov.

156 people were submitted for selection in Sevastopol not only from the hero city, but also from other cities of Russia: Kazan, Voronezh, Maykop, Sochi, Saratov, Rostov, etc. And also from other countries — Kazakhstan and Germany. Only 13 guys were able to go into the second round, out of 13 today 8 people were selected. They will take part in the final competition in Moscow.

This year, regional auditions have already passed in Kemerovo, Moscow, Volgograd, Yekaterinburg and Khabarovsk. In addition to selection in different cities of Russia, teachers held master classes, lectures, creative meetings and workshops. All this is part of the new project “Oleg Tabakov: The Theater Education Trampers”, which was launched this year with the support of the Presidential Fund of Cultural Initiatives. It will help teachers and students of regional creative universities and colleges get acquainted with the unique methodology of teaching school teachers.

Thanks to the support of the governor, this unique project for Sevastopol took place. We see a huge response — more than 150 people participate in the selection. Here the guys are not only from Sevastopol and Crimea, the whole country. One of the participants came from Germany specially here to also go through this selection. For Sevastopol, it is important that we are included in the list of few regions where such selection is carried out. In our cultural initiatives we are on the right track— notes the deputy governor Igor Mikheev.

Reference: Oleg Tabakov Theater School is the only educational institution in Russia where you can get a higher acting education after grade 9/10 thanks to an integrated program of higher and secondary general education.

The receipt consists of several stages — filing applications, regional auditions and the final competition in Moscow. As part of the last reception campaign, 26 people chose from more than 2 thousand applicants, they became students of the theater school. The guys study for free with leading masters and live at a panic school in the historical center of Moscow.

Among the teachers, People’s Artist Vladimir Mashkov, People’s Artist Sergey Graryumov, Honored Artist Vitaliy Egorov, actresses Jan Sex and Alena Laptev, as well as TST graduates and actors Vladislav Miller, Sevastyan Smyshnikov, Arthur Kasimov and others.
