On August 12, «InformUIK» starts in Sevastopol

At the 24th meeting of the Sevastopol City Electoral Commission (SCEC), the deadlines for targeted information and notification of voters about the day, time and place, as well as about the forms of voting in the elections of deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the city of Sevastopol of the third convocation by door-to-door (house-to-house) canvassing (the «InformUIK» project) were approved.
The visits to voters by members of precinct election commissions will be carried out in two stages — from August 12 to 18 and from August 26 to September 1, 2024. It is planned to involve 700 visitors on the routes for targeted information distribution to voters.
By August 11, patrolmen will undergo appropriate training.
For the convenience of our voters, election commission teams will work on rounds on weekdays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on weekends and holidays from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Participants of the InformUIK project will be recognizable by their uniforms: branded T-shirts and baseball caps with the logo of the Sevastopol City Electoral Commission, a badge with information about the commission member, certified by the seal of the territorial election commission, in addition, each of them will have an IDexplained the Chairperson of the SGIK Nina Faustova.
Let us recall that 806 canvassers were involved in the InformUIK project during the previous election campaign (the Russian presidential election). They visited 152 thousand apartments and houses. This is 99% of the total number of households in Sevastopol. The canvassers informed 242,134 voters (the coverage was 72% of the total number of voters).
Elections of deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the city of Sevastopol of the third convocation will be held from September 6 to 8, 2024.
