On Children's Day, Crimean investigators held an exciting quest for children to solve the crime
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On June 1, on International Children’s Day, employees of the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol organized an educational quest for students of the Palace of Children’s and Youth Creativity to get acquainted with the profession of a forensic investigator.
Welcoming the children, Dmitry Leshchenko, head of the personnel department, said that a particularly dangerous crime had been committed within these walls — an attacker had stolen a flash card containing information that was a departmental secret and was intended exclusively for girls and boys. The kidnapper was detained, but he categorically refuses to give out the place where the valuable item was hidden.
Forensic investigator Larisa Markovets told the children about the use of the polygraph by the investigating authorities and demonstrated its operation in practice. So the schoolchildren managed to get information about the premises where an important item could be hidden.
Then, with the help of a forensic light source and under the direct supervision of the senior forensic investigator Alexei Bobkov, the girls and boys examined this territory. And after the detector of non-linear transitions, the work of which was told by the senior investigator-criminalist Vasily Dyachenko, the young investigators studied the intended areas. During each stage, the mentors explained to the children how to correctly apply this or that forensic technique, gave specific examples from their practice.
And here is the treasured flash drive found! And the guys finally got access to important information — a video greeting on International Children’s Day from the head of the Main Investigation Department of the RF Investigative Committee for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, Major General of Justice Vladimir Terentyev. It was a very pleasant surprise for the students.
Dear young friends! We sincerely congratulate you on Children’s Day. I want to wish you to be always healthy and self-confident, to achieve success. I want you to know that the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, investigators from Crimea and Sevastopol will always stand guard over all your interests, valiantly defend your good undertakings— Vladimir Terentyev addressed the guys.
At the end of the event, Andrey Maksimovsky, senior investigator of the Control and Investigation Department of the Main Investigative Directorate, held a conversation with the guys on safe behavior in the summer. Pupils of the Palace of Children’s and Youth Creativity of the Republic of Crimea and teachers sincerely thanked the officers for immersing the children in their future profession and attention.
