On Children's Day, the RNKB counted the expenses of the owners of children's cards. The figure came out very, very impressive.
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On Children’s Day, RNCB Bank publishes statistics: in the first five months of 2023, cardholders aged 6 to 18 made more than 3 million transactions totaling about 292 million rubles. 98% of the total number of transactions with children’s cards for a total of 236 million rubles are non-cash payments for goods and services, another 2% (56 million rubles) are cash withdrawals from ATMs.
Since January 1, 2023, the RNKB has issued more than 20 thousand «children’s cards», which is 23% more than the number of cards issued for the same period last year. In just three years, the bank issued more than 160,000 such cards.
The top 5 settlements in Crimea, where the maximum number of payments on «children’s» cards were recorded, still include Simferopol, Sevastopol, Yalta, Kerch and Evpatoria.
The average age of a child card holder is 11 years old, the ratio of boys and girls is 52% and 48% respectively. The most popular payments remain payments for travel in public transport, as well as in grocery stores and supermarkets. In addition, the number of payments with children’s cards in school canteens and canteens is constantly growing — since the beginning of the year, about 12,000 such payments have been made in the amount of almost 3 million rubles. Thanks to the expansion of the bank’s branch network, as well as trips around Russia, RNKB children’s card holders make payments in many Russian cities — Moscow, St. Petersburg, Murmansk, Voronezh, Kazan, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Vladivostok, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and many others.
The bank opened 7.5 thousand children’s deposits «Nakopi» for a total of 54.8 million rubles. The average amount of such a deposit is 7300 rubles.
Recall that the “children’s” card is opened as an additional one to the bank card of one of the parents, it can be used by children from 6 to 18 years old.
Young cardholders get acquainted with the basics of financial literacy — in particular, they can pay for goods and services in stores, travel in public transport and pay for mobile communications with a card.
In addition, children can confirm preferential travel with a card in public transport in Crimea thanks to the implementation of the republican project «Digital Environment of a Citizen», in which the RNKB Bank is an active participant.
RNKB Bank (PJSC) is a backbone bank of the Republic of Crimea with 100% state participation and one of the largest regional banks in the Southern Federal District. More than 220 branches have been opened throughout Crimea and the Krasnodar Territory, more than 1,200 ATMs, more than 20,000 payment terminals and more than 800 self-service terminals have been installed.
