On City Day, Sevastopol residents will be entertained with quests, excursions and stilt shows

On the occasion of the next anniversary of the founding of Sevastopol on Malakhov Kurgan on Saturday, June 15, a holiday “We glorify you, dear Sevastopol” will be held.
The Sevastopol Defense Museum has prepared a whole program, including quests, excursions, master classes and concerts. Visitors to the Malakhov Kurgan on this day will be offered excursions of one exhibit (from 16.00 to 19.00) in the Defensive Tower of the Kornilovsky Bastion, excursions throughout the entire exposition of the Defensive Tower (from 10.00 to 19.45). From 11.00, the artisans’ quarter will begin to operate throughout the Malakhov Kurgan.
A school for young illustrators and a whole series of creative master classes will be organized for children, teaching everything from painting wooden magnets and making souvenirs from plaster to modeling from air plasticine and casting tin soldiers.
From 16.00 to 20.30, visitors are invited to a concert program where the pop and brass band of the Folk Art Center, as well as artists from the Sevastopol City National Cultural Center, will perform.
From 17.30 to 18.30, guests will be entertained by the Stilt Theater «Show of Giants» and living statues stylized as the 19th century in the costume of townspeople, as well as Grigory Potemkin and Catherine the Great. Evpatoria Center of Culture and Leisure.
Other participants in the concert included the orchestra of the Sevastopol regiment of the Russian Guard and groups from the Korabel Cultural Complex.
Photography lovers will be invited to take part in the “Holiday in Your Favorite City” photo drying event.
