The head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, in an interview in the “7 days in detail” program on Sputnik in Crimea radio, said that the first service in the Cathedral Mosque of Simferopol is tentatively scheduled for December 8.
At the same time, Sergei Aksyonov clarified that in the period before the service, the opening date of the mosque will be determined.
The opening of the Cathedral Mosque is a significant event not only for the Republic of Crimea, therefore it is important that clergy from other regions of our big country take part in it,” Aksyonov emphasized.
Also, according to him, a solemn consecration ceremony of the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Simferopol, built under the patronage of President Vladimir Putin, is expected. The dates of the events will be determined later.
