On Heroes of the Fatherland Day in Simferopol, flowers were laid at the Eternal Flame memorial

On December 9, events dedicated to the Day of Heroes of the Fatherland were held in Simferopol. The Head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, took part in the flower-laying ceremony at the Eternal Flame memorial at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the park named after Yu.A. Gagarin.
Sergei Aksyonov noted that heroes of different generations showed examples of selfless devotion to duty and love for the Motherland.
Today, our soldiers, performing tasks during a special military operation, demonstrate enormous courage and valor, and loyalty to glorious military traditions. This continuity and connection between generations is our strength and the guarantee of our victories.said the Head of Crimea.
A minute of silence was declared in memory of the feat of the fallen heroes of the Fatherland.
The event was attended by First Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Efim Fiks, the leadership of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Simferopol, representatives of the public and law enforcement agencies.
Heroes of the Fatherland Day is a memorable date that is celebrated in Russia every year on December 9 since 2007. On this day, those who have received the most honorable state awards are honored, including the titles of Heroes of the Soviet Union, Heroes of the Russian Federation, Knights of the Order of St. George and the Order of Glory.
