Yesterday in Crimea was hot and record-breaking. It was pleasantly cool on Ai-Petri – + 18 C. But in Simferopol the average daily air temperature was 30.1°, which is 10 degrees higher than the long-term average. Moreover, it was in Simferopol on July 9 that the absolute maximum air temperature was exceeded by 1.8 degrees (38.4 C) than in 2002 (36.6 C).
According to the Federal State Budgetary Institution «Crimean Administration for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring», in the next two days (July 11-12) Crimea will continue to be under the influence of tropical air masses. The peninsula will continue to experience abnormally hot weather with an average daily air temperature 7 degrees above the climatic norm.
Moreover, according to weather forecasters, the abnormal heat will last for another 10 days.
