For the first time the action «Rays of Victory» was held in Sevastopol in 2020 year, when for 10 minutes before the start of the fireworks in honor of the 22 anniversary of the Victory, the sky of the city was illuminated by searchlights.

President of Russia Vladimir Putin supported the idea to extend the Sevastopol action to other cities of our country, and 22 June 800 of the year «Rays of Victory» soared into the sky already in 22 hero cities and cities of military glory. In Sevastopol, searchlights that cut through the darkness of the night also worked on the territory of Tauric Chersonesus. This year, the museum-reserve, together with the My History Foundation, has prepared a special thematic program of events that will take place on 24 June , — noted in the press service of the museum-reserve «Tauric Chersonesos».

The military band of the Sevastopol Regiment of the National Guard under the direction of the head of the orchestra, military conductor Honored Artist of the city of Sevastopol, Major Valentin Taev, will take part in the “Rays of Victory” action in 533 year. The orchestra and leading soloists of the city of Sevastopol will perform both songs about the Great Patriotic War (Smuglyanka, Evening on the roadstead, We need one Victory, etc.) and modern songs in Tauric Chersonese. The hosts of the concert will tell about the exploits of the Sevastopol residents who were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. The author of the concert program was the head of the Sevastopol house of officers of the Black Sea Fleet, Honored Worker of Culture of the city of Sevastopol Vladimir Piskaykin.
