In Sevastopol, the police detained a suspect in the theft of funds from a bank card.
A 51-year-old local resident worked as a security guard in one of the grocery supermarkets and, while on a shift, found a lost bank card near the cash registers. Instead of returning it to its owner in the future, the suspect simply took the find for himself, and in the evening after work went shopping because he wanted to celebrate his upcoming birthday. Products for the festive table worth more than 4 thousand rubles, the man paid for the found bank card— told the details in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
The operatives detained the suspect, so he had to spend the festive evening at the police department. A criminal case was initiated against the detainee under clause “d”, part 3, art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Theft”), he faces up to six years in prison.
