On November 17, a mobile selection point for contract service will operate on the Yalta embankment

The head of the internal policy department of the Ministry of Internal Policy and Communications of the Republic of Crimea, Dmitry Kucherenko, reported on how work is being done in the Republic to select contract military personnel, as well as on assistance to their families. He also added that detailed information will be available at the mobile point, which will operate from 10:00 on the Yalta embankment, near the Lenin monument, on Friday, November 17. Deputy Military Commissar of the Republic of Crimea Evgeny Kutuzov recalled the conditions for military service under a contract in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. In particular, a contract can be concluded for a period of 1 year, 3 years and 5 years. The main requirements for candidates include being over 18 years of age and being medically fit. Foreigners can also pass the selection — upon concluding a contract, they will have the opportunity to obtain Russian citizenship in a simplified manner,” noted the press service of the Yalta administration.

According to the senior instructor at the selection point for contract military service in the city of Simferopol, Eduard Shushakov, when entering contract service, a soldier has the opportunity to quickly purchase housing at the expense of the Russian Ministry of Defense through the savings-mortgage system, receive official housing, or receive compensation for hiring it. Also, a contract employee has the right to free examination, treatment and rehabilitation in military medical institutions, life and health insurance at the expense of the federal budget, a preferential pension after 20 years of service, the status of a combat veteran with corresponding benefits, and credit and tax holidays, budget places for children to study at universities, uniform additional payments, benefits and guarantees.
