On November 9, the first stage of the All-Russian project “Urban Environment of the Future. Creation Project»

CrimeaPRESS reports:

All-Russian project “Urban environment of the future. Practices of Creation” — the program “Practices of Creation: How to Become the Author of Your Life and Co-author of the Modern World” — for young people (from 12 to 25 years old), teachers and parents.

The program was created with the participation of the country’s leading experts from RANEPA, Moscow State University, Higher School of Economics, Moscow School of Economics SKOLKOVO, ASI, DOM.RF, the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences and the Living Cities expert community. Methodological support is provided by the School of Navigators, a center for training specialists in supporting educational strategies.

Project goals

The goal in 2024 is to inspire and support thousands of young citizens, their teachers and parents in acquiring knowledge and skills for a successful, happy, creative life and joint participation in the development of their city.

Target on 2025-2030 years — to support the systemic development of 1000 cities through training and support of city administrations, urban development teams and all citizens in the implementation of urban development projects.

The program runs online in 2 directions: for youth (12–25 years old) and adults (teachers and parents) and consists of seminars with famous experts, practical exercises (trainings), independent work and supportive meetings with curators — specialists in the field of self-determination, professional navigation and urban projects. The results of surveys conducted before the start of classes will influence the content of seminars and trainings.

The course lasts 6 weeks and consists of 3 modules: “Flexibility”, “Sustainability”, “Proactivity” and a practical block “Urban projects”. To participate in the seminars, you only need to register follow the link. To participate in the training, you also need to answer 4 questions.

Start November 9, 2024. Participation is free.

Lika Chekalova, academic director of the “Practices of Creation” program:

When developing the program, we asked ourselves the question: What does it take to be the author of your life and the co-author of our common life in the modern world? We identified key skills and made a module about each of them. For example, “Proactivity”: on a personal level, this consists of the ability to behave in life in harmony with one’s values, consciously choose and act in the name of what is important, and on a global level – the ability to navigate the modern world, see its opportunities and demands , construct images of the desired future and integrate oneself into the activities for their implementation.

Each program participant will be able to use an extensive library, which will contain articles and video materials recommended by experts on the main topics of the course. A collection of additional practices will also be available to help participants determine the direction of development. This library will become not only a source of knowledge, but also a space for creativity and the implementation of projects aimed at improving the urban environment and improving the quality of life of citizens.

Based on the results of the cities’ active participation in the program, 10 finalist cities will be determined by December 20, 2024, which in 2025 will receive free expert, educational and methodological support from the country’s leading experts for the development of their city and the formation of a successful urban community of creators and leaders of urban projects.

“Every city has the ability to create an attractive urban environment for residents, investors, tourists and young talent. This is often done in difficult conditions, when there is a shortage of personnel and active citizens ready to contribute to the development of their hometown. But there are resources for the development of the urban environment; it is only important to find them. How to do this? What projects will make our cities even better? These questions will become central to the project “Urban Environment of the Future. Creation practices.»
