On Russia Day, Artek residents were presented with the first passports of citizens of the Russian Federation

«Artek» continues to take part in the program of the Russian movement of children and youth «Movement of the First» «We are citizens of Russia!». On the Day of Russia, in a solemn atmosphere, 13 Artek residents, who turned 14, received their first passports. Participation in the ceremony was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea and the «Movement of the First», the director of the International Children’s Center. The event was organized with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
Each of us has such a concept as the Motherland. And we are proud that our Motherland is a mighty, fair, great Russia. Today, the passports that you receive for the first time give you not only rights, but also obligations. From today you have become a little older, this is another step into adulthood. You will receive a document that will prove your identity. I congratulate you on the great day — the Day of Russia. Congratulations on the fact that you and your parents decided to get passports in this iconic place, in Artek, and on this iconic day. All the best and success to you— Nikolai Skoba, head of the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea, congratulated Artek residents on an important event.
Liliana Efremova, Deputy Chairman of the Council of the regional branch of the RDDM «Movement of the First» in the city of Sevastopol, noted that she was especially proud to receive her first document and the first opportunity to expand her horizons on this day.
Today you received a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation, and tomorrow you submitted your project for a grant. And after some time, you first tried your hand at work. You now have more opportunities and chances to prove yourself, to declare your activities, your desires and dreams. So dare, stay brave and be the first in your every action.she wished each of the Artek residents.
Addressing the participants of the solemn event, Director of the Artek International Children’s Center Konstantin Fedorenko noted:
Our country is the Russian Federation with a multi-million people who honor traditions. And we try to transfer them to you, including on the territory of Artek. Traditions are, of course, our family, our Motherland, attitude towards our country. It is also work, health, service to our country. I sincerely congratulate all of you on Russia Day. I really hope that the presentation of passports at the International Children’s Center will become a tradition. This event is the beginning of conscious citizenship, conscious influence on the processes in the state, on elections, on its economic and social development. Today it is possible with your direct participation.
As part of the event, a solemn ceremony of raising the State Flag of the Russian Federation was held, adults and children sang the State Anthem of the Russian Federation together.
Artek team members and creative teams congratulated the Artek team on the memorable event. The age of fourteen is rightly considered a transitional stage to adulthood, and the receipt of the main document remains in memory for life. The Artekites promised to be faithful to the Russian Federation, to be worthy citizens of Russia, to faithfully and devotedly serve the Fatherland, to protect its interests, security and independence, to do everything for the prosperity of Russia and its better future.
This year, over 150,000 teenagers in all 89 regions of the country will receive their first passports, and each stage of the All-Russian campaign “We are citizens of Russia!” will be timed to coincide with significant dates in Russia.
