On Saturday, in Sevastopol, guards junior lieutenant, commander of a tank platoon of the Storm detachment of the 810th Separate Guards Order of Zhukov Marine Corps Yuri Linkin were seen off on their last journey.

Yuri Spartakovich Linkin was born in Molodogvardeysk, Luhansk region. In 2017, he graduated from our Sevastopol Shipbuilding College, having received the profession of a welder. In November 2021, he signed a contract and went to serve in the army. During a special military operation, he proved himself from the first days. He always fulfilled all the tasks assigned to him with courage, maintaining the morale of his colleagues. He was wounded, but after treatment he immediately returned to duty, saying that he could not stand aside.

Yuri Spartakovich died heroically in the Tokmak district of the Zaporozhye region, preventing the enemy from breaking through our defense line. When performing a combat mission, he commanded the crew of the T-72 tank and was mortally wounded. Yuri Spartakovich was awarded the medal «For Courage» and the «Order of Courage» posthumously— said the Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev.
