On September 1, at 8:21 a.m., a message was received that thick black smoke was coming out of the windows of an apartment building in the area of Oktyabrskaya Revolyutsii Avenue.
Forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia were immediately sent to the place. Upon arrival, the units found that the apartment on the 7th floor was on fire. Firefighters have formed a link in the gas and smoke protection service to work in an environment unsuitable for breathing and vision. Immediately, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations began to evacuate residents from the upper and lower floors. 13 people were taken out into the fresh air, 8 citizens were evacuated along a flight of stairs with the help of life-saving respiratory and eye protection devices and handed over to doctors for examination. Three were hospitalized in medical institutions of Sevastopol. There are no dead. In the shortest possible time, it was possible to localize the flame and eliminate open combustion. At 9:32 am, the fire was completely extinguished on an area of 30 square meters.
The causes and circumstances of the incident are established. In total, 20 personnel and 6 pieces of equipment worked on the spot from the Russian Emergencies Ministry. The forces of law enforcement agencies, the gas service, and medical teams were also involved.
