On August 2, the 150th anniversary of the creation of the fire department of Sevastopol turned out: on this day in 1875 a voluntary fire squad was created, which became the predecessor of the professional fire department of the city.

On a festive day in the village of Pavlovka, the fire and rescue part of the Sevastopol Rescue Service of Sevastopol was opened. The Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev took part in the opening ceremony.

150 years is a very serious historical period. You have difficult daily work: salvation in the mountains, in forest areas, at sea, extinguishing fires — and you are always in the forefront, help people, save life. Today we are opening a new fire department in Pavlovka, which will work in the Baidar Valley. Be sure to buy new equipment here in the near future. At least two new cars will be purchased before the end of the year and will be at the disposal of our rescuers,-quoted the press service of the Governor of Sevastopol.

The building of the fire and rescue unit was built according to the program of socio-economic development of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol. On the ground floor there is a room for fire equipment and a maintenance post, dispatching room, car washing rooms, a pantry of tools and spare parts, compressor, and a firefighter for storing firepower and firewear for washing and drying fire hoses 12 meters high. On the second floor they placed a classroom, a first-aid post, two conference halls, a meal room, a laundry room, a wardrobe. Comfortable conditions were created for brigades: they equipped recreation rooms, showers, gym, sauna and even a small pool. On the roof of the fire department, the specialists of the contractor put anti-aircraft lanterns-these are architectural structures that allow you to illuminate the premises and corridors using sunlight.

The fire department has no analogues in the Sevastopol garrison. It is equipped with modern equipment for the repair and maintenance of equipment, fire-technical weapons, fire hoses. Also on the territory there is a training tower, a 100-meter obstacle course and a personnel recreation area. In the future, the territory will also be equipped and ennobled-said the head of the fire and rescue unit in Pavlovka Alexei Fomin.

Four on-duty guards of the fire and rescue unit will work on 14 settlements: the village of Potcharny, Reserve, Kizilovo, collective farm, Novobobrovka, Lake, Orlin, Pavlovka, advanced, podgorny, spring, Rossoshanka, rear, wide, as well as in the Sevastopol zone of the UBK-a total of 83 square kilometers, on About 6400 people live in this territory. In connection with the commissioning of the depot, new rates were introduced in advance at the Sevastopol Rescue Service of the Sevastopol.

He instructed to assign the fire department in Pavlovka the name of the 150th anniversary of the fire department of Sevastopol.
