On the Day of the State Flag, the Hero of Russia presented passports to Sevastopol schoolchildren

The presentation of a Russian citizen’s passport on a festive day has become a good tradition for the Movement of the First of Sevastopol. Over the past two years, about 600 people have become participants in the project, and this year alone, about 400 children received passports in a ceremonial atmosphere.

Since 2023, the Movement of the First has been holding such events regularly. In Sevastopol, any schoolchild can ceremoniously receive a passport. To do this, you do not need to provide a special portfolio, certificates or diplomas. It is important to us that for every young man or woman, the presentation of the first passport of a citizen of Russia becomes a significant event that will be remembered for a lifetime. In addition to the passport, we present souvenirs of the Movement of the First and the Constitution of the Russian Federation, because with the fourteenth birthday, a child has not only more opportunities, but also responsibility for himself, his loved ones and his homeland— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the chairperson of the regional branch of the Movement of the First of the city, Anna Molchanova.

As part of the program, participants receive their first passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation from the hands of state and public figures of the country at a ceremonial event. Today, the guest of the event was Hero of Russia, participant of the special military operation, Roman Kulakov. Earlier, he had already met with activists of the Movement as part of the «Cool Meetings» project. Today, he presented passports to the children and wished them to be worthy citizens of our country.

A new generation of fourteen-year-olds are receiving their most important document — a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation. It so happens that they are receiving this document on the Day of the State Flag. I think this is very solemn, because our flag, our tricolor, especially for Sevastopol, is a symbol of love and loyalty to our Motherland. I am sure that the new generation of these guys will be worthy successors of previous generations and many great achievements will fall on their time, – notes Hero of Russia Roman Kulakov.

2024 has been declared the Year of the Family in Russia by order of President Vladimir Putin. The Movement of the First regularly holds thematic family events and campaigns. The community «Rodnye. Lyubimye» (Family. Beloved) has been created in the region, where schoolchildren and their parents participate in useful programs, hold clean-up days, collect humanitarian aid and help our soldiers who are in the special military operation zone. The Lomov family decided to continue the tradition of family participation in events. Mom, dad, grandmother and little brother came to support Maria, who received her first passport.

Receiving a Russian passport was an exciting event for me. In all my endeavors, I feel the support of my family. It is very important to me that at such a solemn and exciting moment my loved ones support me. Today I received my passport, and in a few years my brother Ivan will also join the campaignsays Maria Lomova, a participant in the action.
