On the eve of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory in social networks will launch the cycle of publications «Victory in Persons»

This series of materials will be devoted to veterans of the Great Patriotic War. “Each of our heroes went a glorious combat path, with honor served the country in both military and peacetime. Crimeans should know the names of people thanks to which we live now,-quotes the press service of the head of the republic.

The first publication is dedicated to a resident of the Simferopol district Yevgeny Kirillovich Dolbilin.

When the war began, the father and the three eldest son of the Doblin family went to the front. Only one of them returned from the war — Victor, Brother Eugene. After the liberation of Crimea in 1944, 16-year-old Eugene became a student of a locksmith for the repair of aviation engines in the military unit that was part of the army of the USSR. His brigade collected and repaired engines for IL-4 aircraft.

After the war, Yevgeny Kirillovich Dolbilin was called up for military service in the city of Chirchik, the Uzbek SSR, where he graduated from the school of younger aircraft service specialists. Then he served in Samarkand, and during the Korean War — in Baku and in China.

In 1958, Dolbilin received a serious foot injury, because of which he was established by a disability of the war veteran. Despite this, he continued military service, devoting Soviet aviation for more than 30 years.

Among the awards of Yevgeny Kirillovich the Order of the Patriotic War, the medals “For the victory over Germany” and “For the protection of the Republic of Crimea”. As Sergey Aksyonov emphasized, his life is a vivid example of selfless service to the Fatherland.

Sergei Aksyonov personally visited Evgenia Dolbilin and handed him the anniversary medal “80 years of victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945”, established by the Decree of President Vladimir Putin.

Let me fulfill the honorary mission and transfer you a memorable medal. I want to say the words of gratitude for your service to the Motherland, for your feat. Always remember that your descendants are proud of you. We know who owes a peaceful life— said the head of Crimea.

In turn, Evgeny Dolbilin shared the story of service and life after the end of the Great Patriotic War, showed a family photo album and especially noted how he was proud of his great -grandson.
