CrimeaPRESS reports:
Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate became active participants in the action.
On the eve of the International Day of Remembrance for Road Accident Victims, donor events were held at the State Budgetary Healthcare Institution of the Republic of Crimea “Blood Center”. The events were traditionally held with the aim of replenishing the blood bank’s reserves, as well as attracting people’s attention to the issues of donation and providing targeted assistance to patients injured in road accidents.
Over the course of two days, in Simferopol alone, 166 people took part in this event and donated blood free of charge. Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of Crimea became active participants in the action — more than 50 people donated blood. As noted by the traffic police, inspectors, by virtue of their profession, more often than others become eyewitnesses to terrible accidents where donor blood is needed to save lives, and understand the importance of timely assistance. By their personal example, police officers draw attention to the problem of saving the lives of people in need of transfusions.— reported the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea.
Each participant in the action was given souvenirs with donor symbols and children’s drawings, which they completed as part of the All-Russian campaign “Donor Code. Mentoring» in children’s camps.
International Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims is celebrated annually on the third Sunday in November. The purpose of this day is not only to honor the memory of victims of car accidents, but also to attract the attention of all road users to safe behavior on the roads.
