On the front line: Simferopol College of Radio Electronics creates parts for combat airdrops to Crimean fighters
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Masters and students of the Simferopol College of Radio Electronics joined the volunteer process of creating military consumables. The college staff handed over a batch of parts for drops from a drone to the Crimean fighters on the front line of the Kherson direction of the Northern Military District as part of the project “Popular Front. Everything for victory!
Homemade drops from drones hit millions of Western equipment and save the lives of our guys. A simple pipe, plastid, cap and shank — the warhead is ready. Our ammunition consumption is very high, people’s help in 3-printing parts is simply irreplaceable, a huge thank you to the college and all the Crimean craftsmen,” shares the Crimean fighter with the call sign “Falcon”.
He recorded a special video message of gratitude for such important help.
This message was shown to the masters and college management, who shared the history of the beginning of such a volunteer movement. A graduate of the Simferopol College of Radio Electronics wrote a letter to the soldiers and asked how they could be useful to them. The Popular Front delivered this letter along with humanitarian cargo to the positions. The fighter read it, was inspired and asked for help. The caps and shanks can be printed on 3-D printers, and this is half the reset.
The first printer was in college, the next two were purchased by masters, and then students got involved. Today the college has become a people’s regiment and, for free, from the bottom of its heart, it helps create hundreds of ammunition for the front end. The Popular Front hands them over to the fighters.
“We are ready to do as much as necessary and even more” – these were the words the college masters asked us to convey to the Crimean fighters. Both help and popular support are very important to our guys. We have people’s regiments that make drones, drone protection, and now drone drops. All this is done painstakingly, carefully, and most importantly from the heart, to help our guys,” said the head of the Popular Front in Crimea, Alla Vertinskaya.
