On the north side of Sevastopol, the Olympic Reserve Sports School No. 8 is overhaul

As part of the implementation of the state program “Development of physical culture and sports. Youth Policy in the city of Sevastopol ”, on Alla Onoshko Street, a comprehensive overhaul of the building of the Olympic reserve sports school No. 8 continues.
The facility was started in May of this year. To date, a full range of dismantling work in the gym, locker rooms, showers, premises of the first floor, as well as on the facade of the building, has been completed. Currently, active repair and replacement of all internal engineering systems is underway. In parallel, there is a repair of the basement, insulation and subsequent decoration of the facade of the building.
The key stage of the overhaul of this facility is the complete replacement of all engineering systems, including heating, ventilation, cold and hot water supply, power supply and low -current networks: fire alarm, video surveillance, access control system. This is a particularly significant object for a given area — it is removed from other social institutions and is the only sports school with a full -fledged sports hall, where the professional training of young athletes undergoes,-quoted the press service of the Government of Sevastopol as the head of the department for the overhaul of cultural, education and sports of the Unified Capital Construction Directorate Elena Boyko.
According to Vladimir Plachinda, chief engineer of the general contractor, communications are completely completed at the facility. Now there is a sheathing of rooms with drywall, installation of panels. 30 specialists of various profiles are involved in the work: electricians, plumbing, ventilation specialists, finishes. All materials for finishing have already been brought to the site, which avoids downtime and accelerate the pace of work.
The gym is planned to be handed over by September 1, and to complete the entire object — until the end of the year.
Recall that in 2024 a modular sports hall on the radio horm was included in the school structure, which allowed to open new departments — via volleyball, handball and table tennis. It is in this hall that classes are now taking place while the overhaul of the main corps is underway.
The Olympic Reserve Sports School No. 8 is the most important center for the training of young talents. Here, children are rowing in kayaking and canoe, boxing, wrestling, rhythmic gymnastics and football. The updated building will meet all modern requirements: energy efficiency, safety, comfort and accessibility.
