On the roads of Crimea — operational and preventive measure «Drunk driver»
CrimeaPRESS reports:
From July 7 to 9, on the roads of Crimea (in particular, in the Simferopol region) an operational and preventive measure «Drunk driver» will be held.
When conducting raids, traffic police inspectors, along with the usual service, will use the so-called “mass check” method, the essence of which is to check the maximum number of drivers on a specific section of the road for a certain period of time, then move to other points and repeat the procedure— reported in the traffic police.
Employees of the State traffic inspectorate in predetermined places will stop cars in special stopping corridors marked with signal cones. At the same time, traffic inspectors will assess the condition of each driver by visual signs. In the absence of signs of intoxication (the smell of alcohol, inappropriate behavior, incoherence of speech, etc.), drivers will be immediately allowed to continue driving. If there are sufficient grounds to believe that the driver is in a state of intoxication, the prescribed procedural actions will be carried out.
The State Traffic Inspectorate reminds:
For driving a vehicle while intoxicated, transferring control of a vehicle to a person in a state of intoxication, as well as for a driver’s failure to comply with the requirement to undergo a medical examination for intoxication, administrative liability is provided in the form of a fine of 30,000 rubles with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of 1.5 to 2 years. For the repeated commission of the above offenses during the year, criminal liability is provided for under Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
