On the roads of Crimea from the evening of October 20 to October 22 (inclusive), employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate will conduct an operational and preventive event “Drunk Driver”

When conducting raids, traffic police inspectors, along with the usual service, will use the “mass inspection” method, the essence of which is to check the maximum number of drivers on a specific section of the road for a certain period of time, then move to other points and repeat the procedure— reported the traffic police.

The State Traffic Inspectorate reminds drivers that for driving a vehicle while intoxicated, transferring control of a vehicle to a person in a state of intoxication, as well as for the driver’s failure to comply with the requirement to undergo a medical examination for intoxication, administrative liability is provided in the form of a fine in the amount of 30,000 rubles with imprisonment driving license for a period of 1.5 to 2 years. For repeated commission of the above offenses within a year, criminal liability is provided under Article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
