In order to strengthen the work on the prevention and prevention of violations of traffic rules of the Russian Federation, which contribute to the commission of road accidents with serious consequences, to identify and bring to justice drivers who are persistent violators, persons driving vehicles while intoxicated, from April 12 to 15 on the roads of Kerch State Traffic Safety Inspectorate carries out operational and preventive measures “Drunk Driver”.
When conducting raids, traffic police inspectors will use the so-called “mass inspection” method, the essence of which is to check the maximum number of drivers on a certain section of the road— reported the State Traffic Inspectorate.
Police remind:
For driving a vehicle while intoxicated, transferring control of a vehicle to a person in a state of intoxication, as well as for the driver’s failure to comply with the requirement to undergo a medical examination for intoxication, administrative liability is provided in the form of a fine in the amount of 30,000 rubles with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for period from 1.5 to 2 years. For repeated commission of the above offenses within a year, criminal liability is provided under Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
