On the Tavrida highway at night, on the oncoming traffic… Of course, there will be an accident

CrimeaPRESS reports:

In the Leninsky district, the driver who caused the accident on the Tavrida highway was brought to justice. Willingly or unwittingly, he grossly violated traffic rules.

On the social network, users complained about a driver who was driving on the Tavrida highway in the oncoming lane, near the village. Gornostaevka Leninsky district, which grossly violated clause 9.1(1) of the Russian Federation Traffic Regulations. When studying the video recording by State Traffic Inspectorate employees, as a result of the measures taken, the identity of the driver of the VAZ 2102 car was established. The citizen driving the vehicle was moving in a lane intended for oncoming traffic and provoked a traffic accident. The driver of the oncoming foreign car managed to prevent a head-on collision, and the cars drove apart on a tangent— said the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.

The culprit of the accident explained that he was returning from a long trip and was tired, having lost his vigilance, he missed the turn to his village and ended up in the oncoming lane. But… events (like a video on social networks) cannot be rewinded.

An administrative protocol has been drawn up against the driver under Part 4 of Article 12.15 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation; he faces an administrative fine in the amount of five thousand rubles or deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to six months.

PS. Evening driving in the oncoming traffic along Tavrida is not a rare occurrence. I myself have seen two such “deer” over the past month, fortunately I was driving in the right lane. I’m not making excuses for anyone, but… Maybe there aren’t enough signs on the highway (but definitely not cameras, hehe)?
