On their professional holiday, divers from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in Sevastopol conducted rescue training

The diving service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations celebrates its 28th anniversary.

They are sure: it is necessary to hone their skills, regardless of calendar dates. Divers of the Specialized Squad of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the city of Sevastopol conducted training on their professional holiday — the Day of the Creation of the Diving Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

A legend that was worked out in one of the city’s bays: during scheduled underwater work, one of the divers got tangled in the ends and was unable to rise to the surface on his own. A safety diver went to help and found him unconscious.

The supposedly injured colleague was urgently taken ashore, provided first aid and placed in a pressure chamber for decompression. By the way, the pressure chamber of the Sevastopol Emergency Department is completely autonomous and mobile: it is located on the base of a KamAZ vehicle and can be used directly at the site of underwater descents— said the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the city of Sevastopol.

The participants completed the training tasks in full.
