One fell asleep on a bench, the other robbed him… both good guys? An instructive story from Kerch
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Kerch, police detained a 40-year-old local resident on suspicion of stealing jewelry and cash.
At night, the suspect stole personal property from a man who was sleeping on a bench. The cost of the stolen goods exceeded 40 thousand rubles.
The detainee admitted that, having seen a sleeping man on a bench, he decided to take advantage of the situation and checked the contents of his bag. He found a bank card in it, and also removed a chain, bracelet and ring from the sleeping man. I spent the money from the card for my own needs and sold the jewelry to a pawnshop.— said the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
Currently, the investigative department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Kerch has initiated criminal cases under Part 2 and Part 3 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. A thief will answer according to the law, but a person who likes to sleep on a bench will receive a lesson for life.
