One of the largest shipbuilding plants in the Republic of Crimea is being modernized with the support of the Russian Ministry of Construction

Shipyard named after B.E. Butomi in Kerch is one of the largest industrial enterprises of the Republic of Crimea and has been successfully operating in the field of shipbuilding and ship repair for 85 years. Currently, the modernization of its hull processing shop, reconstruction of production facilities and technical re-equipment are financed under the preferential lending program of the Russian Ministry of Construction, approved by a decree of the Government of the Russian Federation.

As a result of the implementation of the investment project, it is planned to create more than a thousand new jobs at the plant. The result of the update will be a reduction in the production process for the manufacture of ships and metal structures, as well as an increase in the production capacity of the enterprise to 50 thousand tons of metal per yearnoted the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation.

A program of preferential lending for investment projects on the Crimean Peninsula was launched in 2022. When implementing an investment project that is significant for the socio-economic development of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, legal entities and individual entrepreneurs have the right to apply to authorized banks to receive a loan at a subsidized rate. Preferential loans are provided in the amount of up to 10 billion rubles for capital investments for a period of up to 10 years.
