The head of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, Ella Pamfilova, noted that remote voting expands opportunities for voters.

There is early voting, voting in hard-to-reach places… We give the voter the opportunity to choose what is acceptable and convenient for him at the moment— she said.

Pamfilova also called the statements of some people that regions where there is no remote voting will have their rights infringed upon as a provocation.

This is a lie; it is the Central Election Commission that ensures diversity and equal rights. If all this variety of voting forms did not exist, people who would like to vote would not be able to do so.she added.

Such voters need to submit an application three days before the first day of voting using the Mobile Voter mechanism. At the same time, using electronic voting terminals, they will be able to vote at any precinct, and with a paper ballot only at the precinct that was indicated in the Mobile Voter application.

The Federation Council scheduled elections for March 17, 2024. The Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation decided that voting will last three days: March 15, 16 and 17.
