Only 1 out of 5 Crimeans is convinced that the childhood of modern children is happier than their own childhood

CrimeaPRESS reports:

June 1st was International Children’s Day. Only 1 out of 5 Crimeans believes that the childhood of the current rising generation is happier than their own. Representatives of the economically active population took part in the survey of the SuperJob search service for highly paid jobs.

54% of Crimeans do not consider the childhood of today’s children happier than their own. The respondents most often explain this position by the excessive enthusiasm of the younger generation for gadgets, the lack of live communication with peers and outdoor games in the fresh air. On the contrary, every fifth (20%) is convinced that today’s children are happier: parents pay more attention to them than was customary in previous generations, and modern information technologies provide previously unthinkable opportunities. 26% of city dwellers found it difficult to assess which generation of children is happier: “In the material sense, they are more prosperous than us, but in our childhood the world was safer, and we were freer”— noted in the press service of the service.

The older the respondents, the more often they tend to idealize their childhood and criticize the state of mind of modern children. Thus, if among the respondents under the age of 34 this position is shared by 41%, then among the city dwellers over 45 it is already 52%. The conviction that the current generation of children is no happier than the previous ones is most characteristic of respondents with an income of 80,000 rubles or more. per month (60%).
