Only 11% of Crimeans are ready to entrust the solution of psychological problems to specialists

Every fourth Crimean trusts psychologists and psychotherapists, 4 out of 10 do not trust psychologists and psychotherapists.

Every sixth Crimean (16%) has experience of seeking professional psychological help: 11% consider the consultation useful, 5% — useless. Women turn to psychologists and/or psychotherapists more often than men (19% and 12%, respectively). Citizens under 34 are more likely than those over 45 (20 and 11%). Respondents with a salary of up to 50 thousand rubles. — more often than those who earn more: 24% versus 15% among respondents with an income of 80 thousand rubles. per month.

In general, 25% say they trust specialists who provide assistance with psychological problems, and 44% speak of distrust. Respondents under 34 are ready to rely on their recommendations more often than the older generation (54% versus 21%, respectively). The higher the income of respondents, the worse they treat specialists of this profile: if among citizens with an income of up to 50 thousand rubles. every third person (34%) speaks of distrust of specialized specialists, while among those who earn more than 80 thousand rubles, almost every second person (49%).

Who do you most often turn to for psychological help, support, and advice? To psychologists and / or psychotherapists — 1 out of 20 citizens (5%). Much more often they come to their second half (22%), friends (13%) and relatives (10%) for psychological support. 1 in 100 pour out their hearts and seek sympathy on social media. 8% find other options for getting psychological help. 32% do not turn to anyone, preferring to solve their problems alone.

It is more common for women to seek support from relatives, and for men to solve their psychological problems on their own. Parents and spouses are more often asked for advice by respondents aged 35 to 44 (12% and 20%, respectively), friends and psychologists/psychotherapists are more often approached by respondents under 34 (14% and 10%). The older the townspeople and the more they earn, the more among them are those who do not turn to anyone for support, relying only on their own internal resource.

The number of citizens who admit the possibility that in a difficult situation they will turn to a psychologist and / or psychotherapist for help has reached 35%, with 11% sure of this, and 22% more likely to turn. Much more often than others, respondents under the age of 34 (64%) say this.

For 66% of men and 51% of women, the gender of the psychologist and psychotherapist does not matter. Every third representative of the fair sex would prefer a female specialist (33%), and only 5% — a man. The stronger sex equally often chooses male and female specialists (15% and 14%, respectively).
