Only 48% of Crimeans don’t find anything annoying about tourists
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The majority of residents of Dagestan, Kamchatka and Stavropol do not find any reason to be irritated by tourists visiting their region. In a service survey SuperJob Representatives of the economically active population of the Krasnodar, Kamchatka and Stavropol territories, the republics of Dagestan, Altai and Crimea, as well as the Kaliningrad region took part.
38% of Crimean residents believe that protected areas should be closed to tourists in order to protect the environment. 48% of citizens do not agree with this proposal, another 14% found it difficult to answer.
Besides, SuperJob I found out what irritates Crimean residents most about tourists. Thus, 33% of city residents noted the bad manners of tourists, 28% — garbage and careless attitude towards nature, another 27% of respondents were annoyed by the disrespectful attitude towards local residents and service personnel. 48% of city residents do not find anything annoying about tourists visiting Crimea.
Everything is fine, we always welcome tourists and are always happy to see our guests!” — 74% of residents of Kamchatka, 60% of residents of Dagestan and 53% of residents of the Stavropol Territory do not see any irritating factors in tourist traffic to their regions.
Fatigue from vacationers this year is more typical for the population of the Krasnodar Territory. The most annoying factors (not only on the Black Sea coast, but also in other tourist regions considered), judging by the words of local residents, is non-compliance by visitors with the norms of communication and appearance (“There is obscene language all around”; “They walk the streets in swimsuits and swimming trunks”). , disrespect for locals and service personnel (“Arrogant attitude”), uncleanliness (“Throwing garbage anywhere”).
The problem of waste is relevant to all most tourist destinations around the world. Thus, the governor of the Indonesian island of Bali made a proposal to abandon mass foreign tourism for a period of 100 years. From 33 to 39% of residents of Russian regions whose territories have protected areas believe that it is time to protect our nature from tourists.
As SuperJob found out, the idea of closing the territories of Russian nature reserves is more often approved by residents of Altai (39%): “They constantly leave autographs on the rocks.” In Crimea, 38% of residents are concerned about the ecology of protected zones: “The territories are protected areas so that they remain in the best possible condition for our descendants.” In the Kaliningrad region, 37% of respondents like the idea of protecting nature reserves from the invasion of tourists.
The main arguments of opponents of radical solutions (and there are more of them than supporters — from 40 to 50% depending on the region): the beauty of natural reserves should be accessible to everyone; the tourism industry employs the local population, which means salaries and profits; Hospitality — a feature of the local mentality — does not fit in with strict prohibitions.
