Only 9% of Crimean companies use IQ tests when recruiting personnel

CrimeaPRESS reports:

There are practically no companies left that use intelligence testing in personnel selection. In a service survey Superjob Representatives of HR services of enterprises and economically active citizens from Crimea took part.

Only 9% of companies use IQ tests when recruiting personnel, and only to fill some positions. More often, such checks are offered to applicants applying for positions of managers, line managers and engineers. According to a survey of representatives of the economically active population with employment experience, only 14% of them have encountered IQ tests over the past 2 years. Candidates for the positions of directors, secretaries and project managers were more often tested for intelligence level,” noted the service’s press service.

In conditions of acute personnel shortage, the labor market is becoming more civilized: employers are abandoning controversial interviewing techniques, gender preferences and preferences for the social status of candidates, more often hiring university graduates without work experience, candidates of retirement age, especially for skilled workers and engineers in production and construction , recruiters have become more loyal to applicants who often change jobs. Applicants, in turn, refuse to work under “gray” or “black” schemes.
