This weekend, the State Traffic Inspectorate of Simferopol is holding a preventive event called «Drunk Driver» (the operation already began on Friday). Traditionally, road checks will be massive.
All drivers driving through the areas where the “sobriety corridor” passes are subject to intoxication testing– the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate noted.
According to the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, driving a car while intoxicated is subject to administrative liability in the form of deprivation of the right to drive a vehicle for a period of one and a half to two years and a fine of 30 thousand rubles. For a repeated violation, the driver will face criminal liability.
The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate reminds: a person who gets behind the wheel while intoxicated poses a danger to all road users.
