Opinion: targeted allocation of funds for rehabilitation and recreation in Crimea will help the tourism industry in the off-season
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Crimea, the high holiday season of 2023 is characterized by a decrease in incoming tourist flows. But the industry is ready to work at full capacity during the autumn-winter season, however, this requires not only financial, but also strategic support measures, said the Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea Vadim Volchenko.
The head of the department spoke at the round table “On the results of the summer tourist season of 2023 and the effectiveness of measures of state support for organizations in the tourism industry,” which was attended by members of the expert council on tourism under the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy.
There are two mechanisms that we are discussing with the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and are ready to introduce to the government of the Russian Federation — they are urgently needed in Crimea, but perhaps they will be extended to the whole country. One of them is the targeted allocation of funds for rehabilitation and recreation in Crimea. Firstly, this is the financing of a block of social programs for recreation and recreation of privileged categories of citizens at the expense of municipal or corporate programs. The targeted allocation of funds for the rehabilitation and recreation of SVO participants and members of their families will bring great results for our resortsVolchenko quotes Tourist portal of Crimea.
He added that the second mechanism is the implementation of a preferential lending program to prepare for the holiday season with the possibility of writing it off under agreed conditions.
These programs will help the rational passage of the autumn-spring season throughout the South of Russianoted the minister.
Vadim Volchenko outlined other issues that require solutions. First of all, they relate to the transport accessibility of Crimea: increasing the number of passages, expanding the regional network of routes, organizing high-speed rail service, reducing the cost of train tickets through subsidies. Security issues undoubtedly come first, but the minister also suggested that the possibility of opening some temporarily closed airports should not be taken off the table, which, according to him, would remove the logistical issues of traveling to the south of Russia.
