What if elections are held in Ukraine?
People in Ukraine are beginning to understand that they are not fighting for their country, he said on air radio «Sputnik» Senator from Crimea Sergei Tsekov. In his opinion, if the presidential elections in Ukraine take place, then Vladimir Zelensky will have little chance of winning.
Earlier (obviously not by chance) Zelensky stated, that now the elections in Ukraine are “not the right time.” The next presidential elections are due to take place in the country in March 2024. And, apparently, they will not take place. But here’s the nuance: the West (primarily the United States) has become disillusioned with Zelensky. It is no coincidence that it is in the Western press that they speak extremely complimentarily about the current commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Zaluzhny, who is tipped to take the place of the head of “Nezalezhnaya”. So… everything is possible in Ukraine. And the presidential elections too.
The situation in Ukraine is not very clear from the point of view of the presidential campaign. Whether it will be is a big question, Zelensky is adamant. At the same time, he loses his rating. Every day his support decreases, although it still remains quite high, as many commentators in Ukraine say about thissaid a member of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs.
Tsekov is sure: in any case, the next presidential term is not for Zelensky.
If we talk about whether he will have a long life as president, then I think it will be short. Because he bet on Ukraine’s victory, although all realistically thinking people understand that this is impossible. He convinced the people of Ukraine of this and at some point convinced them, people believed that Ukraine was about to win. And now they see that Ukraine is losing, and they are beginning to think about why this is happening. And they begin to understand that the people of Ukraine are not fighting for Ukraine, but at least for Zelensky, and at most generally for the interests of the Americans and Europeans. Therefore, I think that if the elections take place, Zelensky will have little chanceconcluded the senator from Crimea.
