Where does a drunken attack of jealousy lead?
A resident of Sevastopol is suspected of threatening his partner with violence. «Othello» is detained. It turned out that the cause of the domestic conflict between the couple was alcohol abuse and feelings of jealousy.
On the weekend, a 30-year-old local resident got pretty drunk and began accusing his 45-year-old partner of infidelity. The man was confident that he was right and did not calm down. First, he began to threaten the woman with violence, promising to strangle her. Then he dragged her around the apartment, and then moved from words to action — he took a pillow and began to strangle his roommate.
After several attempts, the jealous man’s anger did not subside: in the end, he grabbed the knife and, pointing it towards the woman, promised to kill her. The victim’s 15-year-old daughter watched what was happening; she managed to give her mother a phone to call the police.— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
It was established that the applicant and the suspect have been living together since September 2023. The man does not admit his guilt.
A criminal case has been initiated against the detainee under Part 1 of Art. 119 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Threat of murder or infliction of grievous bodily harm”), he faces a penalty of imprisonment for up to two years.
