Ovechkin’s record inspired Russians: the demand for hockey coaches increased by one day by 51%

Against the backdrop of a record of a hockey player Alexander Ovechkin, by the number of goals scored in the NHL, Russians massively became interested in this spectacular sport. According to Avito Services, the number of search queries for coaches for hockey on April 7 increased by 51% than the day earlier.
With the advent of the spring of 2025, against the backdrop of discussion of a possible record, parents especially actively joined in the search for coaches: in March, the demand for children’s classes with hockey increased by 32% compared to the same period last year.
A sharp increase in interest in hockey is noted throughout the country — from Moscow to Vladivostok. The largest increase in demand for coaching services was recorded in the cities of Siberia and the Urals: in Yekaterinburg (+181%), Kirov (+180%), Omsk (+123%), Perm (+100%) and Krasnoyarsk (+71%).
The proposal also has grown: the number of hockey coaches on the platform over the year increased by 28%. This indicates the development of the professional community and the readiness of specialists to share their experience. The average cost of an individual hockey lesson in Russia is about 1,500 rubles. Due to the growth of the number of trainers, amateur athletes can choose classes based on their level of training, convenient schedule and location.
