Over 10 months of 2024, the Republic of Crimea was visited by more than 5.5 million tourists

According to Sergei Aksenov, the demand for winter holidays in the republic has doubled, and Crimea occupies a leading position in the ranking of the most budget-friendly popular destinations in the country.

In January–October 2024, Crimea was visited by more than 5 million 587 thousand tourists. This is 18% more than in the same period last year. 75% of guests arrived by car and bus: 64% via the Crimean Bridge and 11% via the historical regions of Russia. 25% of vacationers arrived by rail— informed the Head of the Republic.

It is noted that half of the tourists chose the South Coast. 25% of guests vacationed on the west coast, and 15% on the east coast. Another 10% preferred other regions — Simferopol, Simferopol and Bakhchisarai districts.

The velvet season was also a success: in the two autumn months, about a million people vacationed here, which is 6% higher than last year’s level. The average occupancy of collective accommodation facilities in October was 46%. This is a third more than in October 2023– notes the Head of Crimea.

Sergey Aksyonov added that to support tourism industry enterprises, the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea is holding a large-scale tourist rally for 70 travel agents from different regions of the Russian Federation, including from historical regions, from November 5 to 11. The result of the work will be a contractual campaign for booking holidays in Crimea for the 2025 season.
